IBM Corporation/Chicago Public Schools
As one of two vendors authorized to provide personal computers to Chicago
Public Schools as part of the Strategic Sourcing The IBM Corporation deploys
approximately 4000 personal computers to schools and administrative offices
throughout the school system.
To insure implementation services would be
performed at the highest level of quality IBM contracted Professional
Systems, Inc to provide desktop and network implementation services to CPS.
Our network engineers and hardware technician are deployed to deliver
standard as well as special application support. Some of the services
provided include:
- Installation of workstations throughout Chicago Public Schools.
- Provide Network Services and support for IBM Customers including
Windows 2000/NT and Novel environments
- Field Upgrades ‚ Upgrade workstations Hardware and Systems software
(i.e., replacing CD/R ROM and imaging hard drives with proper operating
systems and application software)
- Connecting workstations to CPS's High Speed Wide Area Network and
Internet.
