Professional Systems was contracted by The City of Markham to provide a major upgrade to their data systems infrastructure. This involved a range of services including the following:

• Provided CAT5 data cabling throughout all city agencies including:
  • City Hall
  • Police Department
  • Fire Department
  • Markham Community Center
  • Public Works
• Implementation of T1 high speed Internet service to all Municipal agencies
• Implementation of Point-to-Point T1 Circuit to link Markham Community Center to City Hall expanding their Wide Area Network
• Upgrade of main servers to new 2000 based servers
• Implemented Dell PowerEdge Servers and Optiplex workstations
• Implementation of Domain Active Directory, DNS Services
• Migration of critical applications to new servers and network structure
• Implementation of Enterprise Virus Protection System
• Implementation of Firewall
• Implementation of Internet management and monitoring system
